We are seeking a Nurse Manager for the Ambulatory Surgery Pre-operative and PACU departments. Desired leadership attributes for this role include strong communication and listening skills, the ability to lead and influence teams, communication and relationship management in an interdisciplinary environment and professionalism. This role is well supported by senior perioperative nursing leaders and is a great opportunity to learn additional healthcare business skills and principles, including strategy and innovation.
We require:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN), MSN preferred or equivalent graduate degree
- Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Ambulatory surgery/PACU/Surgical stepdown experience
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive nursing experience, with a focus on PACU and/or AMSU.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing teams and overseeing operations.
- 3-5 years of nursing clinical care with Charge Nurse
- Minimum of one year supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership and management ability
Licensing and Certification Requirements required within 6 months of hire
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Issuing Agency: AHA
- Pediatric Advanced life Support (PALS) Issuing Agency: AHA
- Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN®)
Salary 150-163K per year
