CEA Communications Specialist III

Location: Jackson, MI 49201 - hybrid (M, T, Th required onsite & W, F remote)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Specialist to develop and execute communication strategies that align with Lean Office's objectives and culture. This role will focus on engaging employees, delivering effective messaging, and driving organizational success through strategic communication initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in communications, creative storytelling, and the use of innovative tools to produce impactful content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications plan to align with Lean Office’s strategy and culture, ensuring effective employee engagement and driving breakthrough results.
- Review internal and external benchmark data and best practices to develop cutting-edge communication strategies that reflect the latest trends.
- Assist in the creation of surveys and other tools to measure the effectiveness of communications and meetings.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to craft compelling communication strategies that resonate with a broad audience, including leadership, employees, and external stakeholders.
- Lead the execution of communication channels such as email, print, video, social media, and site/field visits, producing materials for leadership meetings, town halls, presentations, blogs, videos, and more.
- Design and develop communication materials to support organizational goals, including emails, posters, infographics, PowerPoint presentations, training materials, FAQs, leader talking points, newsletters, and event themes.
- Create executive-level presentations that effectively communicate process optimization work, highlighting business challenges and organizational impact.
- Develop talking points and visual aids to support leaders in influencing stakeholders and driving organizational change.
- Synthesize complex business problems into clear visual and written illustrations to facilitate product and process adoption.
- Coordinate and manage the delivery of communication materials according to project timelines, ensuring all materials reach the intended audience.
- Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and adjust approaches based on feedback and evolving needs.
- Manage regular communications (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) to ensure consistent and timely delivery of key messages.
- Assist in translating customer feedback, business requirements, and wireframe concepts into effective communication flows and user interfaces.
- Advocate for the end user by conducting research, crafting designs for specific personas, and performing user task analysis to ensure user-centric solutions.
- Work collaboratively across teams to develop and coordinate the execution of communication strategies and initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, with a strong focus on PowerPoint and presentation creation, and a solid understanding of graphic design (Adobe Creative Suite).
- Experience in executive communication and culture strategies, with a focus on creative storytelling and visual content creation.
- Strong understanding of change management strategies and techniques.
- Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable messaging that is easily understood by diverse audiences.
- Exceptional ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines from various stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate risks and overcome barriers to communication.
- Highly creative, data-driven, and able to apply insights to decision-making.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to coordinate complex assignments and manage multiple team tasks.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence leadership and stakeholders effectively.
