JOB DESCRIPTION


Summary/Objective

This position is responsible for operating a measuring machine in a clean, temperature-controlled laboratory precisely measuring gages while focusing on attention to detail and following procedures.


Essential Functions

  1. Measure physical gages/tools using a precise measurement machine
  2. Basic mathematic skills
  3. Work with industry specific software to track gages for customers
  4. Communicate directly with Sales department about measurement results as needed
  5. Assist other professionals as needed
  6. Continually learns and adjusts to new technologies and procedures
  7. Attend Safety and Industry trainings as required
  8. Works as part of a team to accomplish daily production tasks and goals


PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS

  1. Timely measurement of gages
  2. In-house five (5) day turn-around-times
  3. Complies with company Quality Control standards

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


Work Environment

This job operates in a professional Lab environment and routinely uses calibration standards, hand tools, office equipment such as computers, phones, cell phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, printers and parts washer machine. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Some of the environments this position will work contain occasional loud noise levels.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully performthe essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 or more pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This position full time 40+ hours per week Monday through Friday. Times may vary depending on workload and personal schedule. Our employees enjoy flexible hours based on completing company goals on a per week basis.

Required Education and Experience

  1. HS Diploma
  2. 2+ years’ experience working with machines
  3. Proficiency working with MS Windows, Outlook, Word and Excel - preferred


Preferred Experience

  1. Experience in highly regulated fields or industries
  2. Experience in highly technical fields with specific attention to details
