The IT Trainer is responsible for delivering training on IT equipment and software to our end-users including new hires. The IT Trainer’s primary responsibilities are for training, testing, and driving adoption of end-user facing technology solutions. The IT Trainer will develop quick reference cards and guides that empower teams to work efficiently and navigate tools effectively. They should also be able to develop effective training videos using Camtasia or a similar tool. The IT Trainer will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging training sessions on a wide range of topics covering both hardware and software applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain all new hire training curriculum to align with changing technology needs
  • Ensure that all documentation is current to existing versions of core computer programs
  • Conduct individual and team skills gap analyses
  • Develop technical training courses for all levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced)
  • Coordinate product-related trainings, including presentations of new features and simulation activities in a demo environment
  • Ensure all new hires undergo basic technical training (e.g. on computer setup and security guidelines)
  • Liaise with industry experts and organize workshops and classroom-style trainings
  • Schedule in-house educational sessions using e-learning platforms
  • Work with Human Resources, Legal Personnel and other departments as needed to assess and schedule training needs for different departments and department heads
  • Develop curriculums and training techniques as required for mobile platforms, phone systems, and core computer programs
  • Develop and maintain curriculum for the Train the Trainer program
  • Assist in the overall management and maintenance of the LMS (create learning paths, course curriculum, etc.)
  • Maintain training records that include attendance, number of training sessions held and to be held for different team and departments
  • Work on the configuration and testing of new applications as required
  • Work closely with the Applications Tester to ensure that all critical components of new and existing applications are working as required by end-user needs
