Help Desk Specialist

Overview
- Utilize intermediate technical expertise to troubleshoot computer systems, hardware, and software
- Develop and uphold a proficient grasp of technological infrastructure
- Lead projects aimed at enhancing system functionality and operational efficiency
- Offer technical support, mentorship, and direction to fellow IT colleagues
- Collaborate with vendors to generate quotes, secure approvals, and facilitate the procurement of equipment, software, solutions, and consulting services in accordance with documented company requirements, policies, and best practices
- Ensure the alignment of existing applications and services with the integration of new systems
- Contribute to the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies, conducting reviews to identify application vulnerabilities
- Thoroughly document troubleshooting activities and end user interactions using the Incident Management system, recording all actions taken until resolution
- Leverage collaboration with other divisions (Server, Network, BI, etc.) to advance solutions and serve as an escalation point for Service Desk colleagues
- Verify compliance of devices, operating systems, and installed applications with established standards and configuration
Must Have:
- 3+ of IT experience or equivalent, with a prerequisite of previous service desk involvement
- Associate's Degree in IT Management, Computer Science, or equivalent technical expertise at an expert level is required
- Windows Operating Systems, Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Azure, and Apple Operating Systems.
- Familiarity with enterprise Service Desk tools, including but not limited to ScreenConnect, Slack, OneDrive, Teams, Avecto, PDQ, etc. Provision and manage users, groups, and permissions as necessary.
