Job Description:


Overview: We are seeking a Systems Administrator to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and optimization of our IT infrastructure. This position requires a skilled technician with expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting a variety of hardware and software systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and support desktop computers, thin clients, servers, VoIP phones, video conferencing systems, and associated hardware.
  • Install, upgrade, repair, and perform troubleshooting on IT systems and peripheral devices.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for customer technical support, providing timely resolution of incidents and proactive communication on issue status and solutions.
  • Conduct thorough troubleshooting of incident tickets and change requests, leveraging comprehensive knowledge of IT systems and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Perform daily systems checks and respond to alerts and alarms to ensure system integrity and availability.
  • Execute Install Move Add Change Disposal (IMACD) activities and manage asset and configuration baselines.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve incidents and implement changes.
  • Maintain accurate incident and change documentation, update configuration management databases (CMDB), and contribute to knowledge management resources.
  • Provide technical expertise during Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) and support process improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in special projects and surge services as required.

Requirements:

  • Education: BS Degree in a STEM field preferred
  • Experience: Minimum 1+ years of experience in systems administration or related Technical Support roles.
  • Proficiency in desktop computers, servers, VoIP phones, video conferencing systems, cabling standards, and testing equipment.
  • Familiarity with ITIL best practices and methodologies.
  • DoD Information Assurance (IA) Certification, with CompTIA Security+ CE as the minimum requirement or obtain within 6 months
  • Ability to obtain and maintain privileged user access and adhere to stringent security protocols.
