SUMMARY:

Responsible for maintaining essential daily IT operations, including but not limited to, managing networks, servers, active directory, applications, security, and hardware within the organization. The candidate will also assist in building security policies, procedures, and build efficiencies within the department.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Assist in the maintenance, configuration and reliable operation of computer systems, servers, network, backups, and virtualization.
  • Assist in maintaining Active Directory, Azure, User and Group Policies
  • Assist in safeguarding systems by identifying and solving potential security problems.
  • Implementing security improvements by assessing current setup and maintaining security controls.
  • Understand system needs for the organization and different department.
  • Assist in daily desktop and help desk issues by supporting all departments.
  • Assigning security permissions for systems and users
  • Assist in managing and maintaining several organization systems from security to desktops.
  • Remediate any compliance or security issues identified during audits.
  • Daily user support as needed.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Associate degree or higher in Information Technology field AND 4+ years’ related experience OR
  • HSD/GED AND 6+ years’ related experience
  • Related experience includes:
  • Experience and knowledge of corporate networks (setup and maintain LAN, WLAN, network security)
  • Experience in Microsoft Active Directory, GPO & Microsoft Azure
  • Experience in maintaining and managing Servers.
  • Experience in VMWare & Storage
  • Well versed in cybersecurity tools


Computer and Technology Skills:

The successful candidate will be proficient in MS Office applications, Veeam, Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Security, DNS, etc.


Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. German language speaking skills is another advantage.


Mathematical Skills:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and ability to apply concepts such as: fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.


Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, and talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 15 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
