Tequila Sales Representative


Location: Northern California

Compensation: $85,000 Base Salary + Commission

We are dedicated to providing exceptional products and services to our clients in all on and off premise establishments. As part of our expansion strategy, we are seeking a dynamic and motivated Tequila Sales Representatives to join our team. We are dedicated to promoting our unique Bandero Premium Tequila through strategic sales while fostering lasting partnerships in the vibrant markets of the greater Northern California area.


Position Overview:

The Tequila Sales Representative will be responsible for driving sales and brand awareness of Bandero Premium Tequila products within bars, restaurants, nightclubs, hotels, and all off-sale and retail establishments. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the beverage industry, strong sales skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key buyers and stakeholders. This position suits a driven professional who is eager to manage key accounts, execute impactful marketing strategies, and lead engaging tastings and promotional events to support your customers.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Development:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets within assigned territory.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting and cold-calling potential clients.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in on and off sale channels. .
  • Ensure premium distribution and prominent visibility of Bandero Tequila within targeted accounts.

Account Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new and existing accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their needs and recommend products that best suit their requirements.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and market expansion.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and operations, to support customer needs and drive business growth.

Brand Promotion:

  • Execute marketing initiatives and promotions to increase brand visibility and drive product demand.
  • Create and/or identify local events and tasting opportunities to synchronize sales and brand objectives - maximizing impact through "liquid-to-lips" opportunities that drive sales.
  • Provide training and education to bartenders and staff on our products and brand attributes in the on-sale, and also to key buyers in the off-sale. 

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market insights using our custom in house CRM software.
  • Analysis to assist reporting on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to develop strategies for improving sales effectiveness and maximizing ROI.


Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in sales within the beverage or alcohol industry.
  • Prior experience in on and off premise sales.
  • Existing connections with top local accounts.
  • A strong knowledge of both on and off premise markets, including bars, restaurants, nightclubs, and hotels, plus small, medium and large independent and regional off-sale accounts. 
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and effectively manage a territory.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks with a proactive, results-oriented approach to assignments.
  • Proficiency in CRM software.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a flair for building influential relationships.
  • Flexible schedule with availability for late hours and potentially weekend activations.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the physical ability to perform job duties.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Established presence and network within the local mixology community.
  • Prior experience bartending or serving.
