SimpleHR is looking for a full-time experienced Benefits Manager based in the Destin/Fort Walton Beach, Florida area.


Responsibilities:

· Oversee all aspects of SimpleHR's benefits program such as full administration of the plans and policies, including medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, COBRA, disability, 401(k) retirement plans, and other benefits.

· Resolves administrative issues with the carrier and vendor representatives and coordinates on-going enrollments and renewals with the Broker representatives. Ensures cooperation between benefit vendors and brokers as the liaison with the company.

· Ensures compliance with applicable laws, such as ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and FMLA. Mitigate risks by conducting data audits, maintaining accurate records, and implementing appropriate controls.

· Manages enrollments and terminations of benefits and ensures accurate benefit deductions are collected.

· Presents benefit packages to employees during open enrollment at client worksites.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree and two (2) years’ experience in human resources or benefit administration or equivalent education and experience. 2-15 license preferred.

· Comprehensive knowledge of benefit plan principles and practices, as well as state and federal government regulations, compliance & operations.

· Proven ability to develop and monitor processes to ensure plan management is of the highest quality.

· Understands benefit technical knowledge & it's applications to payroll and benefit reconcilation.

· Proficiency in HRIS, benefits administration software, Microsoft Word & Excel.

· Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

· Proven track record of problem-solving, vendor management and building strong relationships.

· Excellent customer service, communication & phone etiquette skills.

· Some local travel required.
