Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller for a well-established client in Columbia, SC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, managing accounts, handling reporting, and providing necessary documentation for billing.

Duties :

  • Maintain organized medical records and ensure all documentation complies with legal standards.
  • Ensure claims are accurate and compliant with insurance policies, government regulations and industry standards.
  • Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on billing and insurance status.

Skills

  • Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of medical coding principles.
  • Experience with medical collection processes and systems.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, insurance representatives, and healthcare staff.
  • Knowledge of medical records management practices.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hourly pay up to $18hr
  • Schedule Monday - Friday 8:30 - 5.
  • Basic health insurance
