POSITION SUMMARY

Provides direction and leadership for the assigned Department to attain cost, quality, and delivery goals. Manages all available resources. Leads the Department to perform all tasks in the most effective manner while ensuring a quality product is processed according to schedule. Collaborates with cross functional areas to resolve issues with a sense of urgency and set priorities for the team. Ensures proper use of all personnel systems and adherence to all regulatory requirements. Supports Company Operating plan.


PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate (lead by example) Company Mission and Values
  • Learn all aspects of the Department managements tasks and responsibilities
  • Demonstrate support for Company programs through words and actions
  • Maintain fair and consistent application of all Company policies and procedures
  • Develop as the SME for ERP deployment
  • Ensure Department adheres to all Safety requirements and guidelines
  • Ensure Housekeeping/5S is kept at a World Class level daily
  • Lead the Department to meet all Goals and Objectives
  • Drive the Department to resolve all assigned RFA's for root cause and timely closure (Action Items)
  • Plan and prioritize daily job assignments along with coordination with off shift supervisor including scheduled overtime requirement
  • Own every order in Department from start to finish
  • Develop employees through effective use of the Employee Management System
  • Execute employee disciplinary action according to HM Handbook and policies
  • Lead the team in resolving product, process, and equipment issues
  • Maintain Department staffing
  • Assist in the hiring process and new associate orientation
  • Lead the team in implementing process improvements
  • Actively participate in weekly plant management team meetings to include, but not limited to, reporting of scrap, production output, scheduling overtime, plant overtime operation hours, on time delivery of customer product, customer disappointment resolution
  • Ensure completion of all Preventative Maintenance within department
  • Manage and achieve Department Budgets
  • Open/Close buildings as required for plant production operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned


QUALIFACTIONS

Education: Bachelor Degree or demonstrated equivalent through work experience of 10+ years of progressive toles and responsibilities in manufacturing leadership

Experience: Demonstrated leadership ability, strong technical ability, manufacturing experience preferred (Welding, Production Equipment, Assembly, Auxiliary, and/or Shipping & Receiving operations). ERP deployment.

Skills: Team Building/Employee Development, Strong technical background/understanding, Computer software skills (e.g. Microsoft Office). Effective communication, influencing skills, and decision making ability.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
