Senior Security Engineer

Tyto Athene is searching for a Security Engineer III to work on the Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) program. The Global Enterprise Network Modernization – OCONUS (GENM-O) is a critical mission provider responsible for keeping the Army connected through global network modernization projects. The Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) will unify the next generation of Army transport to comply with the Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) divestiture mandate. A phased systematic approach is required to provide individual sites with standardized, updated technology systems to ensure the Army’s Information Technology (IT) infrastructure is equipped to provide soldiers with cutting-edge technology to ensure applications, data, and enterprise services are accessible, trusted, and interoperable across the globe.




Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of cyber security for network/firewall systems
  • Interacts with customers to develop network and firewall rules designed to replace existing functionality of existing infrastructure
  • Identifies security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities to networks and designs and implements necessary security measures to nullify those threats.
  • Leads the creation of the organization's network and systems security measures and updates them as necessary to maintain security compliance
  • Identifies the information protection needs for systems and networks
  • Reviews and assists design engineers in overarching system design with a focus on Cybersecurity
  • Interacts with application vendors and subcontractors to verify their network device to achieve required Cybersecurity objectives
  • Assists in developing all applicable documents needed to obtain an Authorization to Operate (ATO) for fielded network systems
  • Assists in identifying the information protection needs for networks
  • Reviews and assists design engineers in overarching system design with a focus on Cybersecurity.




Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years experience with routers and firewalls
  • Experience with network and firewall security design for new implementations or for replacement of existing infrastructure
  • A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Master’s degree with five (5) + year of experience or a Bachelor’s degree with ten (10) + years of experience or an Associate’s degree or High school diploma with fourteen (14) + years of experience



Certifications:

  • CompTIA Security+ CE Certification or other Systems OEM equivalent, CCNA Security and/or other Information Assurance Technical (IAT) II Level Certifications
