RougeMocap is in search of a Unreal Generalist to enrich our team with creativity and skill. This individual should thrive in both independent and collaborative settings, possessing a proactive approach and adaptability to manage diverse projects effectively. 


You will work side by side with the Cinematic Director, Animation Director, and Production to push the limits of what is possible, carry forward the vision of the project, and build a thriving collaborative culture for the cinematic department. 


Role Description:



This is a full-time role as an Unreal Generalist at Rouge Mocap. As an Unreal Generalist, your day-to-day tasks will include creating and implementing real-time visual effects, designing and maintaining gameplay systems, optimizing performance, and collaborating with other team members to create immersive virtual experiences. This is an on-site role located in Los Angeles, CA.


Responsibilities: 


  • Minimum 5 years of production experience in the game industry
  • Professional experience with Unreal Engine
  • Knowledge of general asset work, mocap data integration, lighting and fx. 
  • Good understanding of industry standard software (e.g., Maya, Blender, Houdini) texturing and fx tools.
  • Proactively implement solutions and maintain communication with the team
  • Comfort working with a hybrid in-person and remote team
  • Able to take comments and follow directions.
  • Having film/animation/TV production experience is a strong plus
