Provisur is seeking a Commodity Buyer to join its team in Mokena, IL. This individual will be responsible for conducting strategic sourcing activities supporting the company’s objectives for value-driven partnerships and cost-effectiveness. They will collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish material, quality, and service benchmarks, cultivate vendor relationships, and track performance through key metrics and scorecards. Additionally, they will devise and implement supply chain strategies for designated materials, actively contributing to process enhancements to elevate departmental effectiveness.
What You’ll do:
- Develop sourcing strategies to optimize supplier selection, drive cost savings, and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, conduct market research, and execute sourcing events such as RFPs, RFQs, and auctions.
- Evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate contracts, and drive supplier selection decisions based on total cost of ownership (TCO) and value-added criteria.
- Partner with finance teams to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models related to indirect spend.
- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Develop meaningful insights and recommendations to optimize spend, improve process efficiency, and support strategic decision-making.
- Regularly report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and savings achievements to stakeholders, highlighting opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.

What You’ll Need:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management roles, preferably within global manufacturing or related industries
- PMP, CPSM, Lean Six Sigma certifications is a plus
