Roofing Manager

Job Summary

The Roofing Manager will lead the development and expansion of the roofing service line. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing a successful roofing business, keeping up with industry trends, understanding customer needs, and creating effective business plans. As the subject matter expert, the Roofing Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, construction, and product resources, to ensure the roofing services meet market demand and align with organizational objectives. This position reports to the Director of Service Line Development.

Responsibilities

- Lead a cross-functional team to develop and execute a strategy for the roofing service line, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.

- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, customer personas, opportunities, and perform competitive analysis within the roofing sector.

- Oversee the end-to-end development of services, including creating business growth models, recommending organizational structures, developing HR documents, employee learning paths, job file documentation, and establishing detailed work processes.

- Ensure roofing service recommendations comply with regulatory, safety, and quality standards.

- Partner with procurement teams to optimize roofing material offerings and align them with franchise needs.

- Develop and deliver training materials and presentations tailored for franchise teams.

- Manage the scheduling, budgeting, and execution of roofing service training sessions for franchises.

- Collect and analyze feedback from customers, franchises, and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.

- Provide ongoing support to franchises, Franchise Business Consultants, and Regional Directors of Operations to enhance roofing service performance and drive business growth.

Qualifications

- At least five years of experience in the roofing industry, with field experience preferred, and a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams in a complex environment.

- In-depth knowledge of roofing materials, estimating processes, installation methods, and industry regulations.

- Strong analytical skills with experience managing business finances and operations.

- Exceptional interpersonal and leadership abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

- Experience presenting to and collaborating with senior leadership on strategic initiatives.

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a construction management role. A combination of both is preferred.

- Ability to travel overnight 10% - 15% per month.
