We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer with expertise in SonarQube, Bash scripting, and GitHub Actions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, automation, and code quality management. You will play a critical role in enhancing our development processes by ensuring code quality, automating workflows, and optimizing our CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
SonarQube:
- Management: Implement and manage SonarQube to ensure continuous code quality assessment across multiple projects.
- Configure and maintain SonarQube rules, quality gates, and metrics to meet project standards.
- Integrate SonarQube with CI/CD pipelines to automate code analysis and ensure adherence to coding standards.
Bash Scripting:
- Develop, test, and maintain Bash scripts for automation tasks such as environment setup, deployment processes, and system monitoring.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing scripts to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with development teams to create custom scripts that meet project-specific requirements.
GitHub Actions:
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Create and manage workflows for building, testing, and deploying applications across various environments.
- Integrate GitHub Actions with other tools and platforms to enhance the development lifecycle.
CI/CD Pipeline Management:
- Maintain and enhance existing CI/CD pipelines, ensuring they are efficient, reliable, and scalable.
- Monitor pipeline performance and make improvements to reduce build and deployment times.
- Work closely with development teams to integrate new projects and services into the CI/CD pipeline.
Build Automation (Maven/Gradle):
- Manage and optimize build processes using Maven or Gradle, ensuring efficient and reliable builds.
- Integrate Maven/Gradle with CI/CD pipelines to automate build, testing, and deployment processes.
- Resolve build issues and optimize build configurations to reduce build times and improve consistency.
Collaboration and Support:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and system administrators, to deliver high-quality software.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members on best practices for code quality, automation, and CI/CD.
- Participate in code reviews, providing feedback to ensure code quality and consistency.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Document processes, workflows, and best practices related to SonarQube, Bash scripting, and GitHub Actions.
- Generate reports on code quality metrics, pipeline performance, and deployment statistics for management review.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation on CI/CD processes and tools.
Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
- SonarQube: Proficiency in configuring and managing SonarQube for code quality analysis.
- Bash Scripting: Strong experience in writing, debugging, and optimizing Bash scripts for automation.
- GitHub Actions: Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions.
- Maven/Gradle: Build Hands-on experience with build using Maven or Gradle
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, Build/Release Engineer, or similar role.
- Experience working with version control systems, particularly Git and GitHub.
- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of other scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl) is a plus.
- Familiarity with other CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI/CD).
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
