Work Schedule: 4 days on, 3 days off. Second shift (12pm-11pm), rotating 3rd shift (8pm-7am remote)
- 1st - 7am-6pm, 12pm - 11pm, 8pm - 7am, 1 quarter per year doing 3rd shift,
Must Haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Network Administration, or a related field experience is preferred.
- Proven experience in network support, preferably in a NOC environment.
- Proficiency in network monitoring tools and diagnostic utilities.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and network security.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience, radios, radio frequencies, antennas cellular network infrastructure: GSM, UMTS, LTE, 2G, 4G and 5G
- Familiarity with Cisco, Ericsson, VMWare, ESXI, Solarwinds, PRTG or other networking equipment.
Plusses:
- Knowledge of IoT, RF engineering/optimization and DAS (Distributed Antenna System) is desirable.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
Day-to-Day:
Our client is looking for Network Control Specialist to work in their Network Operations Center (NOC). The candidate will be responsible for monitoring the fault tickets for any critical issues, creating tickets to resolve issues, working with satellite providers to resolve connectivity issues, and working with shipboard engineers to resolve issues. Identification of root causes, severity levels, workarounds, testing requirements and implementation of fixes to restore network. They will maintain and manage the network to solve any issues.
