Reporting to the Training Manager, the Training Specialist is responsible for ensuring site specific compliance for all required training as determined by Heliene, OSHA, and Federal or State laws. This position is responsible for welcoming new hires and ensuring they understand standard safety and quality compliance expectations. This person is responsible for designing and delivering training content (i.e., classroom, virtual instructor lead training, and on-the-job training initiatives. They are responsible for ensuring the maintenance of all training records, including the scheduling of employee training as required. The Training Specialist must have strong organizational, people and communication skills. The Training Specialist must work within a fast-paced, confidential setting that puts employees, health, safety, and competency development at the forefront of everything they do.



Key Responsibilities:

Plans, organizes, and effectively conducts employee training on various skills, policy, and compliance areas.

  • Evaluates and modifies existing or proposed programs; suggests and implements suitable changes.
  • Develops, modifies and works in conjunction with the Training Manager/training partners to prepare effective training programs.
  • Tracks training results and escalate concerns to the Training Manager and or departments when non-compliance has occurred.
  • Organizes and coordinates training sessions; reserves space for training, ensures that audiovisual equipment is available and operating, distributes materials such as handouts and quizzes, and handles other similar details and tasks.
  • Direct oversight of the Training Within Industry: Job Instruction (TWI:JI) OJT training program including mentoring, auditing, retraining for trainers.
  • Assists with the development and maintenance of a facility-wide training calendar.
  • Schedule training assignments.
  • Review weekly reports for training gaps.
  • Create a training matrix for facility to identify how assignments groups should assign.



Minimum Qualifications:

Undergraduate Degree with a specialization in human resources, training, or related degree and at least three (3) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required.

  • Knowledge of ADP/Workforce Now and learning management systems considered an asset.
  • Experience with TWI:JI considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Proven experience in designing multiple training events in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in building and designing training programs and instructional design.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines.
  • Strong Microsoft 365 skills.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Strong understanding of the Microsoft Suite.
  • Must have a valid passport and ability to travel internationally.



Salary Range: $70,000 to $90,000 Annually
