Division Manager

The Division Manager role requires a minimum of 7 years of top level management experience within transportation, operations, safety AND customer service.Previous experience in a transportation, waste industry or recycling environment is HIGHLY preferred. Position SummaryManage overall performance and productivity of the division, ensuring successful implementation of organizational initiatives. Oversee onboarding, development, coaching, and mentoring of team members while fostering a servant leadership environment.Key ResponsibilitiesFoster teamwork and open communication.Organize division operations and allocate duties for management team and department heads.Review and evaluate division performance; establish performance measures.Counsel managers on program execution and contingency planning.Ensure routes are completed efficiently and safely; uphold safety standards.Oversee personnel needs: hiring, coaching, training, performance evaluation, and input on terminations, promotions, and compensation.Maintain lawful operating condition of company vehicles.Monitor administrative costs and oversee all functional areas.Maintain staffing levels and ensure adequate training.Ensure compliance with DOT and OSHA requirements.QualificationsMinimum 7 years in a senior management role involving transportation, operations, customer service, and safety.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.Experience in transportation, waste, or recycling industry preferred.Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.Valid California Driver’s License required.CompetenciesStrong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service abilities.Ability to coach and develop subordinates.Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.Ability to plan, budget, and supervise multiple projects.Build strong relationships internally and externally.Maintain integrity, competence, and optimism in organizational tone.
