We are are currently working with a $5B REIT looking to expand their Asset Management group by bring on an Associate. This firm is know for investing across all major real estate asset classes across the US.


The Associate will manage and analyze assets across all major real estate classes, ensuring optimal performance and value enhancement. This role involves maintaining financial models, supporting capital markets initiatives, overseeing asset operations, and contributing to development projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate asset management, valuations, and portfolio management, with a demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Modeling:

  • Maintain and update detailed Excel and ARGUS financial models to support valuations, asset performance tracking, and investment decision-making.
  • Conduct scenario analyses to evaluate the financial impact of operational and strategic decisions.

Valuations:

  • Perform quarterly and annual valuations for portfolio assets, ensuring alignment with market trends and investor expectations.
  • Provide insights into asset value fluctuations and recommend value-enhancing strategies.

Asset Performance Management:

  • Monitor and analyze the performance of assigned assets, identifying opportunities for revenue enhancement, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare performance reports and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.

Capital Markets Support:

  • Assist in capital markets activities, including debt and equity financing, refinancing, and investor reporting.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to support fundraising and transaction processes.

Operations & Development:

  • Collaborate with property managers and operations teams to ensure assets are operating at peak efficiency.
  • Support development projects, including budgeting, timeline management, and coordination with construction and design teams.

Portfolio Management:

  • Assist in strategic portfolio reviews and rebalancing initiatives.
  • Provide analytical support for acquisitions, dispositions, and lease negotiations.


Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in real estate asset management, valuations, and/or portfolio management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, economics, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
  • Experience with ARGUS Enterprise or other real estate valuation platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to work with large datasets and derive actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with an ability to articulate complex ideas to diverse stakeholders.
