The Corporate Marketing team is comprised of sales planning, marketing and advertising. The team is responsible for all consumer facing marketing vehicles that include the circular and all of the corporate themes within. Those themes include, but are not limited to, the front page, corporate events, in-store labels (UPL’s), and digital coupons. The Signs and Labels Specialist will oversee our business partnership with 3rd party vendors to ensure our in-store label program supports our marketing efforts to the customer, and our in-store marketing programs deliver relevant content to enhance the customers shopping experience. This role will give you the opportunity to work across the entire co-op from interacting with individual stores, product divisions, various vendor partners, and the Corporate Marketing Team. The role calls for a strong understanding of all Wakefern banners along with excellent communication skills.


Core Functions / Minimum Requirements

Lead a task force comprised of members and staff with the goal of improving our customer communication so it effectively shows our value and messaging on our labels and signs

Manage the business relationship with our Unit Price Labels and Store Signs provider

Review and analyze weekly member label charges and present changes to membership based on costs

Manage paper and electronic label and sign enhancement projects to ensure they support our go-to-market strategy while meeting all regulatory requirements for all banners

Manage weekly digital coupon label and shelf adz enhancements for labels each week for all banners

Ensuring accuracy of our weekly ad program as it relates to signs and UPLs

Provide clear communication to management, members and stores when issues arise with labels

Be able to conduct and run meetings with vendors, members, and Wakefern staff, etc.


Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor degree required
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Adheres to project plans, deadlines
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
  • Proven ability to interact with associates at various levels, both independently and as a part of a team
  • Ability to identify problems and implement appropriate solutions
  • Experience or ability to deliver presentations to management team and membership
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and articulate overall company strategies and their impact
  • Meet the eligibility requirements of the internal posting process
  • Familiarity with SAP and other support systems
  • May be assigned additional responsibilities as necessary.
  • Background in marketing or procurement a plus
