About the Role
As an Operations Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing inventory, raw materials, and operational processes, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of day-to-day activities. This role requires excellent leadership, organizational, and analytical skills to supervise inventory, raw materials, and assist in optimizing manufacturing processes. You will report directly to the Senior Operations Manager and work closely with various teams within Operations.
You will
- Supervise raw materials and finished goods componentry, ensuring accurate inventory counts, proper storage, and timely removal of expired lots
- Ensure that all materials are properly barcoded and that the team follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for inventory management
- Oversee weekly cycle counts, inventory audits, and ensure inventory is in the correct locations
- Maintain up-to-date batch cards, identify and address issues with batch documentation, and ensure timely completion of samples
- Monitor and manage inventory and raw materials supplies, making adjustments based on absences, vacations, and team capacity
- Perform timesheets and manage attendance for both inventory and raw materials teams
- Conduct cycle count processes using company software after GMP reviews
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to streamline processes, ensure efficiency, and support the execution of manufacturing plans
- Learn and implement internal processes to enhance line balancing and manufacturing efficiency
- Provide leadership and employee development, ensuring a positive, productive work environment
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and support continuous process improvements
You have
- Minimum of 3 years of inventory control experience, including at least 1 year handling raw materials
- At least 2 years of experience supervising or leading a team
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, with the ability to understand and support manufacturing plans
- Proficiency in G Suite or Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience with ERP or WMS systems (Shiphero a plus)
- Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and team development skills
- Problem-solving and analytical abilities to improve efficiency and manage operational challenges
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
