Responsibilities:

  • Understand and follow Client Components Group documentation, production schedules, spreadsheets, prints, planning, bill of materials, E-BOM's, purchase orders, inventory data, and MRP data/reports.
  • Maintain EBOM's
  • Order and schedule components from various support departments internal to Client: Machine Shop, Chemical, Stockroom, Molding, etc.
  • Maintain schedules weekly, keeping legible and accurate records to report releases, completions and shortages.
  • Issue and kit components and materials for production or outsourcing.
  • Process and submit material related workflows in a timely manner.
  • Expedite Purchasing and all internal suppliers and material planners as required.
  • Communicate schedule delays or problems related to material.
  • Process and routing of materials on Stock Purge.
  • Process changes in documentation and materials resulting from ECO's.
  • Provide production material to departments.
  • Create and maintain prints and planning files for production and/or the support areas, Machine shop, Chemical, Stockroom, and Molding, etc., and Lot Control for certain contracts.
  • Administer material transfer request.
  • Proficient in ERP system and basic computer skills, i.e. Word, Excel, Data Entry.
  • Assist in training / cross-training of others.
  • Assist in Accounting WIP Audits, or stockroom audits
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement Process.
  • Reduce material cost, lead/cycle time
  • Assist TEAMs with material evaluations

Requirements:

  • Fill stockroom request for direct/ indirect materials
  • Maintain log of shelf-life materials
  • Perform cycle counts and reconcile stock variances
  • Clock parts.
  • Attend scheduled meetings.
  • Assist with department run downs.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience
