We are now looking to expand and is looking for someone with experience in metal industry.


The Plant Manager is much smaller and currently has 10-12 associates. The Plant Manager establishes plant policies and procedures for production, maintenance, shipping, and receiving. The Plant Manager is also responsible for plant safety, quality, productivity, and overall operating costs.


Job Category: Direct Hire

Location: Scotts Township, PA.

Hours: Monday - Friday | 8-5 pm

Compensation: $80,000 to $90,000

Responsibilities of a Plant Supervisor:

  • Creates, administers, and maintains company policies and procedures.
  • Develops production schedules and assigns tasks to Production Supervisors and Product Category Managers.
  • Communicates safety, quality, and productivity expectations to Production supervisors and follows up according
  • Prepares for and conducts meetings with Production Supervisors and Leads to discuss goals and assignments.
  • Identifies, communicates, and addresses plant production constraints to avoid backorders.
  • Identifies and resolves department problems. Confirms that jobs are run at standard or better rates by recording process monitors.
  • Utilizes process monitors for plant jobs run for quality and implements process improvements.
  • Actively directs LEAN initiatives and demonstrates continuous improvement.
  • Develops and maintains plant 5-S Program.
  • Prepares and conducts reviews, disciplinary action, and coaching
  • Works with the Engineering Department to maintain plant prints, process documentation, and verify first piece quality for all jobs run.
  • Champions a safe and organized working environment in compliance with OSHA, company policy, and other applicable laws
  • .Monitors and improves plant safety through safety audits and working with the Safety Committee.
  • Works in conjunction with Human Resources to administer performance evaluations and administer disciplinary actions. o Resolves Associate issues and concerns.
  • Recommends pay adjustments when appropriate.


Requirements of a Plant Supervisor:

  • Related bachelor’s degree plus specialized training provided by the company.
  • 5-10 years’ leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Should possess familiarity with ISO standards, Six Sigma methodologies, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen techniques.
  • A solid understanding of OSHA standards is required. Experience with short-run, long-run, and quick-change strategies in manufacturing is a necessity.
  • Requires strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Should have strong organizational skills and foster cross-functional team building. o Must exhibit leadership courage to influence the organization to achieve goals.
  • Requires an individual who is flexible, assertive, stress-tolerant, and optimistic.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
