Associate Attorney

Join the dynamic and growing Radnor, PA office of Littleton Joyce Ughetta & Kelly LLP, a thirty-lawyer law firm with offices in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Florida, Boston and California servicing a national and diverse complex litigation practice We are seeking an enthusiastic associate who wants to advance, become a well-rounded trial lawyer in a collegial law firm, and take advantage of the incredible opportunities our firm offers. EOE

Responsibilities:

·      Handle smaller cases from Day One

·      Work directly with lead trial counsel on catastrophic cases

·      Mentor with senior partners who want you to advance and succeed in the practice and business of law

·      Attend court, including trials, arbitrations, hearings, status conferences and settlement conferences

·      Conduct/defend depositions and participate in site inspections

·      Perform legal research and draft briefs and motions

·      Handle pleadings, discovery responses, contracts, medical records, expert reports, expert deposition testimony analysis

·      Draft client status reports, conduct investigations and communicate with clients

·      Identify risk transfer opportunities and take necessary steps to secure successful tender

Qualifications:

·      1-4 years prior experience in a civil defense litigation practice (product liability or personal injury a plus but not required)

·      Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar with active license (New Jersey admission a plus)

·      Capacity to work from our Radnor, PA office

·      Ability to manage a Pennsylvania civil defense litigation file from start to finish

·      Extensive knowledge of Pennsylvania civil practice

·      Excellent research, writing and organizational skills
