METALLURGICAL ENGINEER
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support Business Development through technical support, customer presentations, and
process development.
• Strengthen sales and purchasing processes to ensure compliance with customer and industry
specifications.
• Contribute to process development initiatives to enhance the company's technological
capabilities and competitive edge.
• Assist in resolution of non-conforming material issues.
• Proactively engage in the development and enhancement of the vendor base to align with the
evolving needs of our customers. Participate in industry material committees, such as AMS,
SAE, and ASTM. Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, standards, and innovations, bringing
valuable insights back to the organization.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the metallurgical engineering processes,
utilizing data-driven approaches to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in metallurgical engineering, including hands-on experience with various
metallurgical processes and materials.
• Strong understanding of industry standards and specifications, with a track record of ensuring
compliance in previous roles.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex
technical information to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Our client is a major specialty steel service center. They specialize in aircraft/automotive quality
steel tubing and bar and are growing through stocking other high-performance niche steel
grades.
Salary commensurate with experience.
