The Firm
Robbins Law Group, PLLC (“RLG”) is a Washington, D.C. metropolitan based civil litigation law firm, focused on construction law disputes in Virginia, District of Columbia, Maryland, and West Virginia. RLG is seeking a full-time attorney to support its growing construction law practice. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of civil litigation experience, with a background in construction law. The Position
Construction Law Attorney
Responsibilities
The candidate will take part in all phases of litigation and pre-litigation including, but not limited to, communicating with clients, developing litigation strategies, defending and resolving construction claims, drafting discovery and motions, participating in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes such as mediation and arbitration, taking and defending depositions, and court appearances.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to the State Bar in Virginia, Maryland, and/or the District of Columbia.
- Working knowledge of construction contracts and construction law.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience preparing and negotiating construction contracts.
- Experience representing clients in disputes involving breach of contract, surety bond and mechanic’s lien claims, and related construction agreements.
