DATA SCIENTIST

The Select Group is currently hiring for a Data Scientist to join as a resource for one of our clients within the Telecommunications industry that will sit in South Denver, CO and will sit hybrid (3 days onsite). This Data Scientist will be supporting and collecting telemetry data and drawing analytical insights for the reliability program - which is responsible for tracking, analyzing, and ensuring the reliability of their internet service. Therefore, this consultant will be going through Big Data pulling telemetry data directly from the router/modems in order to identify issues on the network & Identify the pockets that pose the biggest challenges so the team can build out processes to address those reliability issues and improve the network for the future. DATA SCIENTIST REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong Data Science experience of about 5+ years of professional enterprise level experience
  • Experience creating algorithms to develop data models and creating processes to understand the data
  • Expertise within Statistical Modeling and data Forecasting - In-depth data analytics and development capabilities
  • Expertise with Data Science toolbelt - SQL querying/scripting experience, R programming language experience

PLUS SKILLS:

  • Telecommunicaitons industry experience specifically analyzing and modeling on Telemetry data
  • Internet, Modem, Router knowledge
  • Data Visualization experience to present findings to higher level executives using Tableau or PowerBI

DATA SCIENTIST RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze telemetry data (collected directly from their routers) portion of their wireline quality score they have in place and find similarities or recurring issues that impacts their customer experience
  • Sift through data directly collected from modems internally
  • Create a Machine Learning algorithm set to analyze the data of hardware/software errors
  • Determine issued causing modems to defect and determine the reason for this issue
  • Bolster the reliability of the product - increasing the productivity/effectiveness to as perfect as possible
  • Presenting findings through visualizations and dashboard
