Position Overview

The Construction Assistant will provide administrative support to the construction team and assist in various tasks to ensure smooth operation.

Essential Functions (Other Duties as Assigned)

Coordinate and schedule appointments, meetings and site visits. Organize meeting notes.

Prepare construction documents, reports and correspondence.

Assist with general office duties such as managing calendars and data entry.

Maintain accurate records of project documentation, including contracts, permits and invoices.

Create and update spreadsheets and special reports for internal use.

Collaborate with the construction team to ensure timely completion of projects.

Willingness to continue to learn new aspects of the construction process and assist when needed.

Education and Experience

Required:

High School Diploma

3+ years in a clerical or administrative role

Preferred:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Excellent organization skills, attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.

Excellent written and verbal skills.

Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Knowledge of construction industry terminology and processes is a plus.


Physical Requirements:

  • be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
  • requirements less than 10%
