One of our clients, a custom Cabinetry and Millwork Company, is seeking a Director of Millwork. They are experiencing exciting growth and this role will play a key role in leading and optimizing the millwork division of our organization.


We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in business management, coupled with extensive knowledge of cabinetry and millwork processes. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in enhancing operational efficiency, overseeing production plants, and contributing to the overall success and growth of the company.

Responsibilities


Leadership:

  • Provide strategic leadership for the millwork division, aligning with the overall goals and objectives of the company.
  • Develop and implement business plans to drive growth, efficiency, and profitability in the millwork segment.
  • Foster relationships with sub-base in new markets and nurture current sub-base for continues partnership growth
  • Work with Department Heads to develop SOPs and Documentation protocols to ensure effective work practices.


Operations:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the millwork department, ensuring optimal efficiency and productivity.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance workflow and reduce production costs.
  • Collaborate with Clients and Department heads to develop schedule and completion timelines.


Production Management:

  • Manage and optimize production, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timely delivery of products.
  • Collaborate with production teams to streamline manufacturing processes and meet production targets.


Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage budgets for the millwork division, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Work towards achieving financial targets and profitability goals.


Team Development:

  • Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, promoting professional growth and development.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field. Proven experience in a leadership role within the millwork or cabinetry industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of cabinetry manufacturing processes, materials, and industry trends.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success in improving operational efficiency and achieving production targets.
