Position Overview

The Classic Home Visual Merchandiser will be a creative and detail-oriented individual. The ideal candidate will have a passion for home furnishings and a keen eye for design. This role involves creating visually appealing and cohesive displays that enhance the customer shopping experience and drive sales. The Visual Merchandiser will be responsible for creating style guides, on set styling of photo and video productions, planning and executing merchandising strategies, as well as traveling to trade shows to style showspace per company directives.


Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement visual merchandising strategies that align with the company’s brand and marketing goals.

2. Create style guides for divisions, including business, e-commerce, marketing and social media.

3. Develop creative direction for photo and video productions and manage the styling process on set, making real-time adjustments to achieve the desired visual effect and maintain consistency across shoots.

4. Create and maintain compelling trade show displays that enhance the aesthetic appeal of Classic Home products.

5. Optimize the photography process and continually enhance image quality and branding standards.

6. Collaborate with Head of Furniture division and Sr. Brand Manager to plan layouts and vignetted showroom displays.

7. Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to ensure our displays are innovative and competitive.

8. Travel to trade shows approximately 8 times a year to visually merchandise and tell a story that identifies the company trends.

9. Manage inventory levels of display materials and props, and propose new purchases when necessary.

10. Analyze sales performance and customer feedback to continually refine and improve merchandising strategies.


Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in visual Merchandising, Interior Design, or a related field.

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in visual merchandising including on set experience styling for photo and video productions, preferably in the home furnishings industry.

· Strong creative and artistic skills with an eye for detail and design.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to collaborate cross functionally with partners as well as work independently.

· Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

· Ability to travel to trade shows and industry events.

· Strong organizational and time-management skills.
