What the Role Offers - Calibration Technician
The Calibration Technician is responsible for tracking and performing company-wide calibration activities with accurate and timely GxP documentation. This role supports the Facilities & Engineering department with Vaccine Manufacturing and other ongoing operations. This position will have an expanded knowledge base of instrumentation and regulatory compliance.
What You Need to Succeed
- Maintain instrumentation of process equipment, facilities, and support utilities.
- Diagnose and rectify issues with calibrated equipment and instrumentation.
- Ensure facility and process-related equipment are maintained in good condition by following regular preventive maintenance (IPM) and calibration programs.
- Maintain PM and calibration schedule through the quality management system (Paradigm) and CMMS.
- Perform regular calibration of various instruments (Temperature, Pressure, Conductivity, ORP, Optical Density) when required and oversee calibration work of external vendors.
- Ensure that all calibration work orders are completed accurately and follow all GMP guidelines.
- Support the Quality Assurance (QA) department with investigation activities related to facility or utilities.
- Manage external support contractors and vendors as related to facility, utilities, PM, and calibration activities.
- Write standard operating procedures as necessary for the maintenance and calibration of equipment that is used.
- Works as part of a team to improve processes and safety conditions.
Required Qualifications:
- An associate’s degree in engineering or Technical certification in instrumentation and a minimum of 2 years of equipment calibration experience in a GMP regulated industry.
- Knowledge of cGMP, GXP, GDP, Equipment Life cycle.
- Prior experience and knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, team environment consisting of internal and external team members.
- Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent planning, organization and time management skills including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects
Physical Demands:
- Adequate visual and mental acuity to maintain prolonged use of computer work.
- Multiple hours of standing, sitting, or walking when performing work.
Mental Demands:
- Self-directed, once training is successfully completed, but with the need to immediately elevate potential concerns/discrepancies to management in a timely fashion.
- Must maintain a professional demeanor in communicating with all Inventprise and external personnel.
- Ability to tackle various tasks and switch pace based on priorities.
Working Conditions:
- Onsite position supporting Redmond and Woodinville, WA facilities. Primary location in Woodinville, WA. No remote or hybrid work is available for this position.
- Extended periods of time on the computer.
- Extended periods of time on your feet.
- Working in cleanroom environment wearing sterile gowning.
- Working with chemicals per standard operating procedures.
Estimated Base Salary: $38.00 - $44.00 / Hourly DOE
