Leadership and Strategy:

  • Develop and execute the engineering strategy in alignment with the company’s overall business objectives.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to set priorities, allocate resources, and drive strategic initiatives.

Project Management:

  • Oversee the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Ensure that all engineering projects comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
  • Lead the technical review and approval of project designs, specifications, and contracts.

Technical Expertise:

  • Provide technical oversight and guidance on complex engineering challenges, ensuring the use of best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Stay abreast of the latest technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes that impact the energy sector.
  • Drive the adoption of new technologies and processes that enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.

Team Development:

  • Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent, building a high-performing team that is capable of meeting the company’s future needs.
  • Implement training and development programs to enhance the technical skills and leadership capabilities of the engineering team.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages knowledge sharing and cross-functional teamwork.

Operational Excellence:

  • Optimize engineering processes and workflows to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance project outcomes.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the performance of engineering projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure the effective management of engineering budgets, resources, and timelines.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as a key liaison between the engineering team and other departments, including operations, finance, and business development.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure successful project delivery and compliance.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, technical forums, and regulatory meetings.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering within the energy sector, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale energy projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of energy systems, renewable energy technologies, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Experience with project management software and tools.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
