Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Industrial Construction Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Chicago. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of industrial construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage all phases of the construction project, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
  2. Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.
  3. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
  4. Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, quality, and safety compliance.
  5. Proactively identify and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during the construction process.
  6. Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  7. Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
  8. Foster a collaborative and positive working environment among project team members.
  9. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project status, milestones, and potential risks.
  10. Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effective solutions.
  11. Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel on the job site.
  12. Conduct project closeout activities, including final inspections, punch lists, and client handover.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial construction project management.
  3. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
  4. Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and materials.
  5. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  8. Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes in the Chicago area.
  9. OSHA certification and familiarity with safety regulations.
  10. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
