Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Manager

Location: Hoffman Estates, IL

Overview: We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our growing Supply Chain Department. This role is crucial for developing and executing a comprehensive purchasing strategy, managing supplier relationships, and leading a team of buyers and planners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of 3-5+ buyers and planners.
  • Develop and implement sourcing and procurement strategies.
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, contracts, and qualifications.
  • Oversee demand planning, inventory management, and purchasing operations.
  • Ensure effective international sourcing, particularly from India, China and Mexico.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for seamless cross-functional communication.
  • Understand and address international logistics and communication barriers.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 2-5+ years of experience managing a team of 3-5+ members.
  • Experience managing a spend of approximately $100MM (minimum $80MM).
  • Proven track record in supplier relationship management and contract negotiations.
  • Awareness of procurement functions and direct experience working with suppliers.
  • Significant international sourcing experience.
  • Expertise in demand planning, inventory management, and purchasing.
  • Familiarity with international logistics and overcoming communication barriers.
  • Relevant industry experience in FIBC or Packaging (PE films, corrugated, film).

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Flexible packaging experience.
  • Bilingual in Chinese or Hindi
