Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, while managing multiple projects; keeping costs down and ensuring material is at the job site complete and timely. Take full responsibility for bidding, negotiating, follow up of purchase orders to maintain a competitive edge on costs. While meeting the company’s standards in quality, reliability, and performance.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Purchasing of piping, sheet metal, plumbing, MRO, rentals, tools, inventory and other materials and supplies.
  • Tracking supplier prices and obtaining the best price.
  • Establishing and maintaining good Supplier and Internal relationships.
  • Assist in project estimates, help conduct cost analysis, purchases, and job cost completion.
  • Work with Field on returns and follow up on credit to be received
  • Ensure that purchase orders are written accurately, with enough detail to adequately receive items.
  • Communicate with the field any backorders and look for solutions to meet delivery requirements.
  • Stay current with market conditions and changes in the industry.
  • Reconcile invoices as required with accounting
  • Become familiar with all aspects of the Sage (Timberline) accounting system as it relates to purchasing.
  • Learn all software programs utilized in the day-to-day business operations of the company.
  • Other duties as assigned.
