My Client is looking for a Practice Leader - Landscape Architecture & Planning to drive the growth and leadership of our landscape architecture studios in Texas. This person can be situated in Dallas, Houston or Austin. This role will focus on developing client relationships and overseeing the design and permitting of landscape architecture, land development, and planning projects statewide. This leader will build on our well-established, award-winning landscape architecture practice, which spans over two decades and includes 13 studios nationwide.
In this position, you’ll be essential in advancing the firms expansion in Texas, with opportunities to grow our portfolio in areas such as waterfront projects, urban revitalization, streetscapes, smart growth and community design, commercial and retail site development, healthcare and university campus planning, rooftop gardens, green infrastructure, and brownfield redevelopment.
Joining this firm's leadership team offers a unique career advancement opportunity, with qualified candidates potentially eligible for an equity ownership track. While the role calls for a driven, self-starting leader with an entrepreneurial mindset, you’ll benefit from substantial corporate resources to ensure a successful transition, including support from our business development and marketing teams and collaboration with landscape architecture and engineering principals and associates across Langan.

- Coach, guide, and energize a team of landscape architects, while supervising and approving project work
- Drive workforce planning, recruitment, and hiring efforts for the Texas studios
- Manage studio and project financials, including budgeting, invoicing, and collections
- Gain expertise in the firms services to promote cross-selling and ensure seamless project coordination
- Take on additional tasks as needed

- A proven history of active engagement in professional organizations
- Prior management experience with the ability to nurture, lead, and develop team members
- Skilled in writing reports and proposals, as well as managing contracts, billing, and budgets
