We serve criminal defendants who have been accused of a crime, with infractions, misdemeanors, and felonies. We also help with license “clean up” meaning helping people restore their license rights. In addition, we handle juvenile cases, appeals, modifications, and federal cases.

Job Description:

As an Associate Criminal Defense Lawyer at Justin Camper Law, LLC, you will play a crucial role in our mission to deliver exceptional legal representation to our clients. You will work closely with our team of experienced lawyers and legal staff to develop defense strategies, represent clients in court, and provide legal advice and support throughout the criminal justice process. Your role will be instrumental in upholding our firm’s reputation for excellence, compassion, and tenacity in defense of our clients’ rights.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality legal representation to clients facing criminal charges, from misdemeanors to felonies.
  • Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and develop defense strategies.
  • Represent clients in court appearances, trials, and plea negotiations.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to ensure comprehensive support for our clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed and involved in their defense.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on changes in criminal law.
  • Contribute to the firm's growth by upholding our values of compassion, professionalism, and innovation in legal services.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Indiana
  • Willing to travel to courts in Lake, Porter, and Laporte County and surrounding areas in northern Indiana
  • Proven experience in criminal defense law, with a track record of successful client representation or willing to learn criminal law and get experience fast.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to serve as a persuasive and effective speaker in court.
  • Strong analytical, research, and negotiation skills.
  • A team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues and staff.
  • A high degree of professionalism and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile to achieve the best possible outcome for our clients.
  • Innovative thinker with a willingness to adopt new strategies and approaches to legal defense.
  • Availability to work full time, with no other part-time commitments, ensuring full dedication to the needs of our clients and the firm.
