Acara Solutions hiring an Environemtal Health Safety Manager for our manufacturing client in the Phoenix/Tolleson area. This is a full-time, direct hire role and the salary range is $120K to $160K plus a performance bonus.


Manufacturing plant environmental experience is a must. It's a plus to have new plant construction experience, but not required. The Ideal candidate will have a history in Phoenix/Arizona dealing with local government regulations.


Assist the organization in managing and promoting manufacturing safety, environmental compliance & protection, occupational health, EH&S cultural activities, and team building work to ensure the achievement of the company's annual safety performance goals.


1. Implement national laws, regulations, and standards on safety production, comprehensively promote EH&S-related work and activities at the plant, maintain contact with external regulatory departments to obtain information on policy changes and the latest requirements.

2. Improve EH&S-related documents and procedures at the plant, establish sound safety production regulations and safety technical operation procedures, and supervise their implementation.

3. Participate in various EH&S work of the company, promote the on-site implementation of the dual prevention mechanism, and summarize and promote safety production experience.

4. Participate in the development of annual EH&S work plans and track their effective implementation.

5. Participate in the completion of administrative permits and other tasks required by the government and ensure compliance with the "three simultaneous" requirements of construction projects.

6. Participate in accident and incident investigation and handling, root cause analysis, and track corrective and preventive measures to ensure effective closure.

7. Promote the construction of emergency response teams, provide skills training and support to emergency response teams, and organize and coordinate emergency drills.

8. Maintain the company's occupational health and environmental protection management work, establish a system of shared responsibility for safety production among all employees, and ensure the normal operation of the system.

9. Responsible for the promotion and summary of company-level EH&S management projects, identify weaknesses in safety management from projects, and propose technical improvement measures.

10. Strengthen communication and exchange with various stakeholders, actively engage in various safety culture building activities, and widely listen to EH&S opinions and suggestions from all parties.

11. Enhance the professional competence of team technical personnel, promote local LEAN 6S management, and strive to become a learning-oriented, innovative, and professional efficient team together with EH&S colleagues.
