Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with SMEs and Business Analysts to build new end-to-end solutions, ensuring compliance with operational SLAs.
  • Write and debug complex SQL queries from databases, particularly Oracle.
  • Design and build IBM DataStage jobs based on mapping documents and requirements.
  • Participate in peer design reviews, providing valuable recommendations.
  • Construct DataStage jobs for data extraction and loading from/to Oracle and other databases, flat files (CSV, text, Excel), and build JSON files using the Hierarchical stage.
  • Perform structural validation and data type/allowable values validations, providing detailed reporting.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation, including data mapping, data lineage, functional specs, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure runbooks are continually updated, enhancing efficiency through automation.
  • Provide precise and concise handover notes for daily shift transitions.
  • Support incident management, resolving service stoppages and conducting remediation activities, including postmortem actions.
  • Assist in operational reporting on vendor, internal, and partner team issues, along with respective root causes.
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of ETL code using DataStage 11.7.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with IBM DataStage.
  • 5+ years of experience with Snowflake
  • SnowFlake Certified.
  • 5+ years of experience using SQL.
  • 5+ years of strong expertise in PL/SQL and UNIX shell scripting.
  • 5+ years of experience working with XML transformation and message consumption from queues (preferred).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience improving operational stability through automation.
  • Work collaboratively with Data Analysts, SMEs, Architects, and Application/Service Managers for design changes and enhancements.
  • Ability to work off-hours as required by projects, operations, and the needs of the on-shore team and stakeholders.
  • Provide US/EMEA overnight support on critical processes in Financial Risk applications (Murex, Adenza), addressing escalated tickets from L1/L2 teams.
