Network Security Engineer

A recognized Sports Company in New Jersey is currently seeking an experienced professional to join their team in a hybrid capacity as their new Network Security Engineer. This position works closely with the Security Team, offering great visibility and a mix of responsibilities.
This is a contract to hire role, conversion eligible after 6 months.
**Please Note: this role is hybrid 4 days per week in their Secaucus, NJ office.**
The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for:
- Network configuration and change management
- Cisco and Fortinet Network administration
- Network taps
- Build and maintain complete network asset inventory (Firewalls, routers, switches, etc)
- Implement Change management process for network configuration management, document the process
- Perform semiannual network configuration review (to ensure rules up to date, reviewed and approved)
- Perform semiannual entitlement reviews on complete network asset inventory (Review of access and privileges
for Firewalls, router switches etc., on-prem and cloud) - Supporting CyberOps Team with:
- Network Segmentation and Restricting Server Internet Access
- Rollout of Infoblox globally
Qualifications:
- 7+ years in network engineering
- Computer Science Degree (B. S) or an equivalent with extensive work experience
- CCNA Certifications are a plus
- Experience with Firewall security
- Palo Alto or Cisco Firewall experience is a plus
