Color Development Assistant

Our client, a fashion brand, is seeking a Color Development Assistant to join the team temporarily in New York *Full-time hours.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and organize all paperwork related to color approval.
  • Perform accurate data entry of color specifications, approvals, and changes into systems.
  • Utilize Excel to maintain detailed records and generate reports.
  • Coordinate with design, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure timely submission and approval of color samples.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to resolve any color-related issues or discrepancies.
  • Collaborate internally to ensure color accuracy and consistency across product lines.
  • Monitor and track deadlines for color submissions and approvals, ensuring adherence to production schedules.
  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations on color trends, approvals, and compliance metrics using Excel and other tools.
  • Organizing and maintain Color Lab records
  • Help facilitate color review process for color managers.
  • Manage email communication with internal and global partners.
  • Receiving and opening packages, sorting/filing contents.



Requirements:

  • Proficient using Excel & PLM
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textiles, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of color theory and its application in apparel design and manufacturing processes.
