CLA needs multiple Litigation Paralegals for law firms in the Greenville, SC area. Experience in litigation is a must The ideal Litigation Paralegal candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of litigation matters. This candidate should feel comfortable conducting research, doing data entry, scheduling, maintaining case files, drafting and answering discovery requests, and completing other ad-hoc requests, as needed.

Sample Responsibilities:

  • Legal fact and basic legal research
  • Assist with case management
  • Organize and electronically file pleadings
  • Preparation and service of Pleadings
  • Maintaining case documents/databases
  • Reviewing case documents and preparing case chronologies
  • Preparing the first draft of discovery including drafting and answering interrogatories, requests for production, and requests to admit
  • Drafting and serving subpoenas
  • Legal Document preparation and drafting including pleadings, motions, trial documents, etc.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and SC Civil Procedure requirements


Minimum and Additional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Paralegal Studies or Paralegal Certificate
  • 2-3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal at a law firm
  • Great customer service skills, both in-person and over the phone
  • Strong personal work ethic and ability to organize time, manage diverse activities, and meet critical deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proof-reading skills, with the ability to be detail-oriented
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaboratively
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize caseload and daily tasks
  • Experience with case management system, such as Time Matters or Clio, is a plus
  • Experience with Federal and State e-filing is strongly preferred
  • Ability to work overtime when necessary
