Retail Marketing Communications Manager

LHH is recruiting immediately for a full-time, Marketing Communications Manager for one of our clients in the grocery/retail industry in the Greater Ann Arbor area.


Location: Onsite in Greater Ann Arbor, MI area. Relocation available.


Compensation: $75K-$95K (based on experience)


Role Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or similar.
  • 5+ years of experience in a quantitative marketing role managing strategy and execution on social, search, or other performance-oriented channels in the retail industry (preferably grocery retail).
  • Excellent marketing technology knowledge and skills across various platforms
  • Strong understanding and use a variety of software applications and technology as it relates to marketing, communications, and social media.
  • A strong understanding of organic social and ad formats in planned, proactive and reactive states for all social media platforms, especially TikTok.
  • Experience using a Creative Workflow Management tool.
  • Experience managing others including career development, directing and evaluating work.
  • A deep understanding of shopper marketing and retailer activations (digital and traditional)
  • Event planning and management experience.
  • Public relations experience a plus.
  • Experience with loyalty marketing programs is a plus.
  • Able to work with and lead cross functional teams across multiple departments.
  • Exceptional project management, communication and reporting skills.
  • Proficient in proofreading with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and more.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Able to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with an emphasis on the business needs.
  • Proficient communication and interpersonal skills, including written, verbal and listening skills.
  • Strong passion for guest and/or customer relations, support, and an affinity to win guests for life both in-person, and online.
