A general contractor is looking to add an Estimator to the team. Projects range from commercial, industrial, mixed-use, education, and medical, to historic renovations.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate project plans and specifications to determine requirements and scope
- Collaborate with peers and project team to acquire necessary information
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and demands of projects
- Research and evaluate bids and proposals
- Analyze and negotiate contracts with subcontractors
- Prepare detailed take-offs and quantity surveys
- Create comprehensive bid packages and present to clients
Qualifications
- 5+ Years of proven experience in Construction Estimating
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
- Proficient in using construction estimating software
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
