As an Electronics Technician I working on the Surgical Robotics program (R&D RPE – Released Product Engineering) at our medical technology client, you will be part of a team that supports the production electronic hardware for the capital and instrumentation equipment within the robotic system. You will work with other teams in development, testing, integration, verification, validation, and production transfer of sophisticated electronic systems.

As an Electronics Technician I, you will:

  • Develop proficiency in mechanical assembly, wiring harness assembly, lead-free soldering, and prototype builds.
  • Support engineering staff with system integration, testing, and root cause analysis, including data analysis and identifying trends.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting, set up and maintain test equipment, and follow inspection procedures.
  • Maintain lab stock, assist in repairing prototypes, and build test equipment and fixtures.
  • Perform and document work per Quality Systems Regulations, follow detailed instructions, and ensure adherence to lab practices and safety procedures.
  • Communicate primarily with immediate supervisor and department professionals, providing technical support to staff.
  • Continue skill development through training and educational programs.


Must Haves:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of a specialized or technical field.
  • Effectively communicates and works cooperatively with immediate supervisor, other professionals in the department.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics, instructions, and drawings.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the use of electronic equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, multimeters, data loggers, thermocouples, automated test equipment, etc. as well as microscopes, soldering irons, tweezers, crimpers, cutters and other hand tools.
  • Ability to work in teams – we are looking for a team player

Nice to Have:

  • Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Technical Certification in Electronics.
  • Medical device product development, regulatory process, safety, e.g., IEC 60601.
  • Previous experience with robotics.
  • IPC Certifications: IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-7711.
  • Knowledge of and experience with disassembly and reassembly of systems and test benches.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Quality System Regulations.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows.
