Lead Automation Specialist

Position Overview:
PITCO Engineering is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Lead Automation Specialist to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in factory and process automation, strong problem-solving skills, and a drive to deliver outstanding customer service. As a key contributor to our team, you will support our customers by recommending innovative solutions to overcome their challenges, collaborating with our sales team, and ensuring project success.
We are looking for a go-getter who is passionate about automation, planning, and engineering services, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to grow into a larger leadership role as we expand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer-Focused Solutions: Engage with customers to understand their challenges and recommend tailored factory and process automation solutions to meet their needs.
- Project Leadership: Act as the project lead for automation projects, overseeing planning, execution, and successful delivery on time and within budget.
- Support Sales Efforts: Collaborate with the sales team to provide accurate project estimates, technical insights, and support during the proposal process.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring access to the best products, services, and pricing for our customers.
- Engineering Services: Apply your expertise in controls and electrical engineering to design, troubleshoot, and implement automation systems that optimize customer operations.
- Process Automation Expertise: Leverage your knowledge of process automation to deliver comprehensive solutions that improve efficiency and productivity for customers.
- Planning and Coordination: Develop detailed project plans, allocate resources effectively, and monitor progress to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, acting as a reliable point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Travel Requirements: Be willing to travel to customer sites as needed, including longer periods of time away for key projects.
Qualifications:
- Experience in factory and process automation, including SCADA systems, PLCs, robotics, or similar technologies.
- Strong technical foundation in controls and electrical engineering.
- Proven ability to lead projects, including planning, coordination, and execution, while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first attitude.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel periodically and adapt to flexible work schedules as project needs arise.
