Role Summary: Responsible for designing custom process piping equipment, adapting each design to meet unique project requirements. Requires a problem-solver who thrives on challenges and applies expertise creatively.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop skid-mounted capital equipment.
  • Apply mechanical knowledge to design structural frame-supported piping systems.
  • Select and size mechanical components based on design criteria.
  • Collaborate with engineers and clients to meet design specifications.
  • Create and modify equipment for manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Produce detailed and outline designs using standard drafting procedures.
  • Coordinate with vendors for component selection and assembly instructions.
  • Ensure product quality through testing and validation.
  • Specify and modify system components to meet performance standards.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
  • Provide engineering support and resolve technical issues.


Miscellaneous:

  • Occasionally travel to job sites or trade shows (about 5%).
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with 3D AutoCAD and working with vendors for component selection.
  • Proficiency in calculations for stress, deflection, and pipe sizing.
  • Strong understanding of technical documents and effective communication skills.
  • Proficiency in 3D AutoCAD, Excel, Word, and Adobe software.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
  • Experience in drafting/design and process piping design.
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks and inFlow Inventory software.
