"Lake Life Begins with Gage" is the Gage Marine slogan, and the Lake Life Store embodies this philosophy. Lake Life is located at Pier 290 Restaurant in Williams Bay. The store offers women's boutique apparel, custom apparel, home gifts and decor, and fashion accessories.
Position Summary:
We are looking for a driven, team oriented, professional to fill the role of Store Manager at the Gage Lake Life Store located inside of PIER 290 Restaurant in Williams Bay, WI. The Store Manager is responsible for managing the team of sales associates, scheduling, inventory, policies and procedures, and loss prevention. The Store Manager is expected to be well versed on all products, maintain visual presentation/standards and provide routine education to staff on customer service principles, sales strategies, and product education. Serve as the direct line of communication between team and Buyer. We seek a candidate that is enthusiastic about retail and can help bring Lake Life to life through our curated selection of products and custom apparel.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Lake Life store including but not limited to; restocking, cleaning, managing cash procedures, inventory monitoring, sales & promotions, returns, exchanges, damage merchandise, periodic special events, merchandising and display transitions,
- Recruit, train, recognize, and retain talented individuals who can help achieve sales and business goals.
- Plan and execute monthly all staff training meetings. Prepare agendas, lead meetings, provide product and sales education, gather feedback, support positive team dynamics.
- Provide weekly education to staff as well as routinely model communication and excellent customer service.
- Oversee and manage employee scheduling and resolve scheduling conflicts to ensure the store front is staff appropriately.
- Actively maintain an organized and stocked sales floor by assigning and participating in daily and weekly tasks to ensure premium service and smooth store functioning.
- Manage all aspects of inventory including in store, backstock, and items on order.
- Pull timely reports, complete routine data tracking, and make informed and supported suggestions to the Buyer.
- Support the entering of purchase orders and live tracking.
- Meet weekly with the Marketing Department and contribute to the marketing and advertising efforts of the Lake Life Store by preparing monthly content calendars, writing 1-2 Blogs a month, suggest website updates, and work collaboratively to brainstorm and share new ideas to support marketing efforts.
- Manage online purchases, shipping and processing, and occasional returns and exchanges.
- Plan, prepare, and execute inviting and clean merchandise displays. Maintain regular updates and display refreshes. Uphold visual standards at all times to have the store be the highest reflection of the brand.
- Meet Weekly with supervisor (Buyer).
- Other duties as assigned.

- At least two years of retail experience or comparable experience and transferable skills.

- Technologically savvy and ability to troubleshoot day to day challenges of connecting hardware/restarting systems..
- Experience with Shopify POS preferred.
Job Details
- Base pay starting at $22-$26/Hour based on experience
- 40+ hours per week during peak season (March-October)
- 30+ hours per week during off-season (November-February)
- Must be available to work summer holidays, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day.
- Required to work four weekend shifts a month (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday), two of which must be a closing shift (1:30pm - 8:30pm).

- 2 Personal Days available per year. Granted the first of the month following 90 days of service. These days are not eligible to be carried over from year to year, nor cashed out for any reason.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for lengthy periods of time
- Lift up to 40 pounds unassisted
- Bending, rotating, climbing and reaching in a retail environment
- Ability and confidence in using a step ladder and assisted tools to change merchandise displays.
