Job Summary: We are seeking experienced PL/SQL Programmers with a strong background in financial or banking sectors to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 8-15 years of experience and expertise in programming on the Unix platform. This role offers the flexibility of remote or hybrid work based in NJ/NY.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize PL/SQL code and scripts for database applications.
  • Perform Unix scripting and programming to support database operations and automation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
  • Design, implement, and troubleshoot database objects such as tables, views, indexes, and stored procedures.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and performance optimization.
  • Conduct code reviews and adhere to best practices and coding standards.
  • Provide support for production systems and resolve any issues or bugs.


Qualifications:

  • 8-15 years of experience as a PL/SQL Programmer or in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in programming on the Unix platform.
  • Strong background in working with financial or banking clients is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL development, including writing complex queries and stored procedures.
  • Experience with Unix shell scripting and Unix-based tools.
  • Solid understanding of database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Oracle databases is a plus.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
